With Easter just around the corner and celebration plans at the fore, we wanted to share with you our key pointers for creating the perfect tablescape. Whether its your first time entertaining, or you're planning a special occasion, we're more than happy to assist you with all of your styling queries here at Grove Home.

First Things First

Before we jump into our arrangements and styling, it is important to set our base correctly. Tablecloths are hugely important in acting as a stage for your setting, but also provide a level of protection for your table, as needed. We have a soft spot for linen tablecloths here at Grove and they pose as the perfect accessory with this seasons' trends.

Practical Planning

We all appreciate a show stopping display, however when it comes down to living, we need to remain practical with our design choices. Although your setting may need to chop and change over the course of your celebrations, it is important to be mindful of what you wish to remain on the table throughout your meal. Too much clutter and obstructive heights may disrupt the flow of conversation and enjoyment.

Keep it Green

Incorporating foliage into any display is sure to give your setting the extra lift it needs, and we're not just talking about your floral arrangements! Adding greens and berries appropriate to the time of year can be layered and intertwined through your still for a beautifully polished look. We often feature our stunning Eucalyptus Garland in our settings for an effortless finish.

Get Creative

Based on the occasion, there is plenty of room for getting creative with what you want your focal point to be. We always try to incorporate a flower arrangement as a centrepiece for our tablescapes, as well as some candle holders to create the most perfect ambience. Be sure to play around with heights and positioning as to draw the eye in and around your masterpiece.

Finishing Touches

Once you've set the scene, its time to put your settings in place with coasters, placemats, charger plates, glassware and dinnerware. Add some personal touches with carefully folded napkins and ribbons to really flaunt your creative side.
