I ordered the Warwick table and 5 chairs from Grove Home. The staff were very helpful and delivery of the furniture was arranged within 2 weeks of paying the deposit. The delivery went extremely smoothly and the delivery men took extra time to ensure all the chairs were level and adjusted them as needed. They also took away all of the packaging. The dining set is absolutely beautiful and I am delighted with the products and service. Thank you Grove Home!

A Love For Linen

Linen is becoming ever more popular in the world of interiors, and we couldn't be more excited about it! Not only does it offer an effortlessly stylish feel to our space but it is also one of the most sustainable fabric choices out there. As we move into the idea of making more environmentally conscious efforts in our everyday lives, we wanted to share with you how truly remarkable this fabric is.

Derived from flax fibres, linen is one of the most durable fabrics in the industry, making it ideal for incorporating into our everyday lives. Although heavier in weight, the properties of linen make it 30% stronger than their cotton counterparts, allowing it to stand the test of time. Initially, linen can feel quite coarse and rigid but it mellows over time to become more soft and supple.

Well known for its moisture-wicking properties, linen can absorb up to 20% of its weight in moisture but it also dries much faster than other fabrics. Being porous in nature, linen makes for an excellent conductor of heat, which is why it is a popular choice for clothing and bed linen in warmer climates and over the summer months.

Linen also has natural antibacterial properties which is why it has been favoured for medical dressings for centuries. Not only has linen been favoured throughout time for its tremendous properties, but it has a rich history dating back to Ancient Egypt and European Medieval Times.

Summer is officially here, and we couldn't be happier about it! The brighter mornings are certainly putting a 'pep in our step', and the longer evenings encourage drive to do more in our day to day. Although the Irish weather is yet to steady itself for us to solidly plan weekend trips to the beach - there is so much to look forward to as we put our summer schedule in place.

With windows and doors finally being opened up, as well as curtains and blinds being pinned back to allow that stunning daylight to peep through, it's easy to feel invigorated and alive as the gentle warmth of the sun graces us for what has seemed like an eternity.

Here Comes The Sun

At long last, the summer has arrived and although it may only be the first time this year we get to dust down the Barbecue, our hopes of extended sunny spells are high.

I’m not sure if it's the lack of Vitamin D that has us particularly amped for long evenings in the garden, or if the higher temperatures make us want to embrace the outdoors that little bit more, but we’re here for it and we can’t wait to finally welcome that summer sun.
